Confidential Data Center

Commissioning resilient infrastructure for hyperscale data center performance.

As hyperscale data centers continue to grow in size and complexity, reliable mechanical and electrical infrastructure becomes essential to maintaining continuous operations. Every chilled water system, condenser water loop, and electrical distribution system must be thoroughly verified before the facility is placed into service, helping owners reduce operational risk while supporting long-term uptime.

For Confidential Data Center 5, Motz Engineering provided commissioning services directly to the Construction Manager at Risk, supporting the transition between construction completion and operational readiness. The commissioning scope focused on chilled water systems, condenser water loop systems, and electrical systems, helping bridge the transition from construction completion to operational readiness.

The hyperscale development spans  a 490-acre campus with approximately 250 megawatts of planned capacity. Its scale required close collaboration between the construction manager, trade partners, and commissioning team throughout construction and system startup.

Through disciplined commissioning activities, Motz Engineering helped support reliable building performance while preparing critical infrastructure for long-term operation.

This confidential hyperscale data center project demonstrates Motz Engineering’s ability to commission complex mission-critical facilities where resilient cooling systems, dependable electrical infrastructure, and operational readiness are essential to long-term success.
